Floating Between Truth and Fiction

Floating Between Truth and Fiction
According to John Berger, the story exists somewhere between truth and fiction; I think photography is the same. Many writers find their raw materials in everyday life, changing fictionalizing them to tell the story from their own particular point of view. For the readers, with their own lived experiences, these stories could exist everywhere and nowhere. In these photographs, I tried to depict my perception of these landscapes based on my experiences walking in Calgary during the spring/summer of 2020. They are based on the truth of what I experienced on these walks, but not all of the truth of what is present; they are my point of view. I invite you to click on the address under each photo and find the specific landscape in the google map street view. But remember that the google street view has a timeline and through exploring the timeline, you can see the different truths of the landscapes.
